In our comfortable lounge residents can chat over a cup of tea, read the newspaper or watch their favorite DSTV program. We also have a sun lounge where they can spend time with friends and family while enjoying the sun on their backs.

We have a visiting hairdresser and pedicurist and the home has a well-stocked and up to date library. A small bus transports resident to the local shopping center every week and twice a month takes residents to Hayfields Shopping Centre in Pietermaritzburg. We have a very active Hobbies Club where residents have a weekly ‘Knit & Natter’ morning and items are made for sale to raise funds. The residents also recondition greeting cards.

The Anglican Church hosts a Communion Service weekly and the Methodist Church a Bible Study session. We are fortunate to have members of the public visit and entertain our residents. Bridge, Bingo, darts evenings are enjoyed as are visits from FWI members who arrange special tea parties. Outings are arranged periodically.
